Quarantined Parenting - A Free Online Workshop

QWP April 2 2020 cropped.png

Caregiver stress is real, especially for parents who have suddenly become full time teachers or must work from home while parenting or both – not to mention the stress of a world pandemic.

Join us for our free online workshop, Quarantined Parenting. Our director, Dawn Hamilton, LMFT, along with teen expert, Jamie Nelson, LMFT, will teach parents about

  • talking with children about COVID-19 in a way that helps them feel calm and safe

  • managing child anxiety and the misbehaviors that often result

  • living with ‘quaran-teens’ and sharing space with teenagers

  • modeling resilience for children instead of panic

  • keeping a cool head and finding joy when the world is turning upside down

Also, attorneys from Inland Counties Legal Services will explain news laws about COVID-19 sick leave, family leave, unemployment (especially for school closures), tax relief and stimulus funding.

Our workshops are fun, interactive and provide an atmosphere of mutual support. You’ll meet with other parents who are experiencing similar ups and downs.
